NS-86 Garnet is a medium intensity self-striking Ruby. Work in a hot neutral to oxidizing flame. It will not liver, but can develop brown hues if overworked. Kilning will not affect the strike. Refer to Ruby section for additional information. There are approximately 14 rods per pound.
